Chuffed to bits with my new alcove shelving. At first I was a bit worried about how good a fit I would get and how strong the shelves would be, but I was carefully guided through the measuring process and what type of supports would be best. The results are as good as if they shelves had been built on site. I went for a walnut veneer finish, which looks great.
The installation initially seemed a bit daunting but quickly made sense and with a bit of care and patience each shelf slotted neatly into the alcove.

Just finished installing my first floating shelf order from TopShelf UK. Very pleased and had no trouble with solid installation using supplied concealed brackets but I used some smaller wall plugs and screws than the provided hardware as my shelf is fairly small and not going to carry much load. Very pleased by helpful service including manufacturer who phoned me to confirm where I wanted bracket positions in shelf (as I needed to avoid a possible conflict with wiring in wall). Finish of shelf seems excellent. Just have to find so e other spots around my home now so I can order more! Thanks

We ordered 5 shelves from TopShelf, we went for floating due to the walls on either side not being even, rather than the alcove fit. The customer service was great as one of the shelves we ordered was wider and they talked me through the better option of a rebar fit for the bottom shelf to have better security. The shelves are absolutely gorgeous and are well made. There was a bit of a hiccup due to the delivery company but the team at TopShelf remedied the issues very swiftly. We've just had them installed and they look amazing! Would definitely order from here again.

Ordered 8 alcove shelves and 4 or 5 radiator top shelves, in veneer to save a little. All very high quality and perfect finish. Very well packaged, and on time. They are heavy as they are solid, so brackets are quite large. Called to check measurements with me as I needed different front and back of shelf lengths due to old walls!

Our solid beech alcove shelves are made to measure in the UK, manufactured in our Stourbridge workshop. They are made from solid beech timber throughout.
Enter separate front and back lengths, then select your depth and thickness. Available thicknesses are 32mm, 44mm. Depths range from 80mm to 250mm.
Choose Unfinished Sanded or Clear Satin Lacquered in the configurator.
Concealed 16mm timber side supports fit into grooves in the shelf ends. Back-wall lengths over 600mm receive rear concealed brackets, evenly spaced with no more than 600mm between supports at any depth.

Your shelves will be carefully packaged to protect the finish during transit.
Installation
Our alcove shelves are designed for installation between two walls using a concealed support system.
Timber supports fit into grooves within the shelf ends, keeping the fixings hidden once installed. Shelves with a back-wall length over 600mm include additional concealed rear brackets, evenly spaced so that no gap between supports exceeds 600mm at any depth.
Accurate measurements are essential, particularly where walls are not perfectly parallel. Measure the front and back widths separately and enter both dimensions in the configurator. Rear support spacing uses the back-wall length.
Before installation, check that your walls and chosen fixings are suitable for the anticipated load.
As your shelves are manufactured to your individual measurements and specifications, change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted for correctly supplied bespoke products.
